build Habitat homes in Dayton.
Habitat
for Humanity is
a worldwide non-denominational
organization committed to seeing
that all people have decent
housing.
CROP
Walk
When CROP began in 1947 the name
was an acronym for the Christian
Rural Overseas Program; its primary
mission was to help Midwest farm
families to share their grain with
hungry neighbors in post-World War
II Europe and Asia.
CROP
is no longer an acronym; it is the
name given to community, interfaith
hunger education and fundraising
events sponsored by Church World
Service in which St. George's
participates.
St. George's
Rummage Sale
is organized and
conducted by volunteers to raise
funds for outreach projects. The
rummage sale is held on the first
weekend in October.
Salvation Army Meal Preparation,
the second Wednesday of each month,
volunteers prepare a meal in the
church kitchen to be served at the
Salvation
Army's downtown
program for the homeless.
The Other
Place Breakfast
Volunteers serve breakfast on the
fourth Saturday of each month at
The Other
Place, a daytime
shelter.
House of Bread
The House of Bread non-profit
Community Kitchen established in
1983, serving predominately the
inner-city residents of Dayton,
Ohio. It serves a free, hot
and nutritious lunchtime meal to
anyone in need, and serves a free
breakfast/brunch on the second,
third and fourth Saturday of each
month.
Alcoholics Anonymous
St.
George's hosts AA meetings Fridays
at 7:00 and 8:30 p.m. The primary
purpose of AA is to stay sober and
help other alcoholics to achieve
sobriety.

ERD
Episcopal
Relief and Development is the
collective response of
Episcopalians to help people in
need. Through grants for
emergency relief, rehabilitation
and development
ERD
responds to people in need in the
U.S. and around the world.
