Cornerstone:
Find your own way home
No matter how you arrive or
what leads you to the door, enter
Cornerstone at St. George’s and
be instantly at home.

Cornerstone. A spiritual
dwelling as vibrant as a
well-stoked fire and as comfy
as a well-worn easy chair. A
habitat blanketed by the love
of God and Jesus Christ.
Cross the threshold to
worship at 6:30 p.m. each
Saturday and find:
|
Home: (hom)
-
An environment offering
security and happiness
-
A valued place regarded as
a refuge or place of origin
-
The place where something
is discovered, founded,
developed or promoted
-
Cornerstone
|
A simple
refuge
Our parish hall offers a relaxed,
respectful setting for worship
services. It’s a family room for
family members—not a living room for
guests.
A fresh approach
Each Cornerstone service is
inspired by a theme, and each theme
is explored in a variety of ways:
prayers/reflections from Anglican
sources, Gospel readings, informal
sermons, theatrical skits. Let your
soul be stirred each week by new
reflections on age-old topics.
Contemporary music
There are no
hymnals, organs, choirs, or musical
recordings at Cornerstone. Just
spirited songs that invite you to
lift up your voice in praise and
celebration.
A feast for the eyes
More than 1,000 visual images are
projected at each Cornerstone
service. Experience the message in
brand new way, and see it from
multiple perspectives.
The embrace of family
Warm, inclusive,
welcoming… these are the attributes
of the Cornerstone community. Each
new worshipper
belongs, just as each child
belongs to a family.
Come home for a
spiritual meal this Saturday.
The feast begins at
6:30 p.m. in our parish hall.
You’ll be welcomed
to the table just exactly as you are.
